Honoring the traditions of The Purest Challenge since 1950

Welcome to The National Red Setter Field Trial Club
Established in 1950, our purpose is to foster and promote the use of the Irish red setter as a  field trial competitor and class shooting dog.  Our members compete in Horseback Shooting dog and All-age field trials, National Shoot To Retrieve (NSTRA), FDSB Walking Shooting dog trials, North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association tests, National Bird Hunter Association trials, as well as uncounted local field trials and hunting trials throughout the country.  Our Irish red setters are also utilized throughout the country as  premier hunting dogs and family/hunter companions.  The National Red Setter Field Trial Club is the exclusive host for the U.S.A. National Irish Red Setter Field Trial Championship; our club also honors the working qualities of the Irish Red Setter by publishing the only working breed standard in the U.S.A.  The National Red Setter Field Trial Club is proud of our legacy and our devotion to the improvement of our breed.  Our purpose is unfaltering and single minded...   what we proudly refer to as the  "P u r e s t   C h a l l e n g e."   We hope you enjoy visiting us through the pages of our website.  Feel free to join our discussion group, check out the most current schedule of trialing events, or search for a puppy or dog on the puppy or breeder page.  Come visit us at one of our field trials...

Join us in our efforts, as we continue our pursuit of the  "P u r e s t C h a l l e n g e."
